My name is Andrii Lagutin. I am an artist who loves to convey meanings in an aesthetic audio-visual form. In practice, I do this by directing music videos, commercials, and films.
When I was 10 years old, my older brother and I made a stop-motion video about my Lego robots. I remember the process of creating a video really amazed me and have changed all my life. I saw how my work seemed to come to life and tell its own stories. Then I considered myself almost a real life magician. Almost 15 years have passed since then and I have not changed my mind. I still consider directing and filmmaking is a form of magic. And I still love them passionately.
Now as a director, I've created music videos for well-known artists from Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Poland, and my short films have won awards at international festivals. Whether I'm directing my works, I always prioritize the aesthetics of the final product. I believe that the visual language we use in our work can have a profound impact on viewers, and I'm committed to crafting beautiful and engaging content that resonates with audiences on a deep level.
I'm passionate about telling stories and bringing creative visions to life, and I'm always eager to collaborate with new artists and clients to create compelling and impactful visual content. So i want to say thank you for taking the time to visit my website and learn more about me. I look forward to hearing from you and potentially working together on future projects!
I believe that learning is a process that should never stop. That is why I am constantly expanding my horizons. For example, I studied drumming to improve my understanding of the rhythm of editing. I studied choreography for staging dances in video and fencing to better understand the staging of battles. Any skills and knowledge take on new meanings when you are a director.
Since my school years, I have been in love with the process of creating videos. During all this time I managed to try many professions in film industry and as a result, I received many additional skills. In except to the director, I also worked as a 1AD, assistant producer, editor, director of photography, videographer, and even an underwater cameraman. All this experience expands my directing possibilities and gives me the opportunity to interact better with the team.
